I miss my mom so much, i miss most especially all the food that she cooked for us when we were still young. Today, at the age of 75, she still cooks , but for some of my siblings and my nieces.
So today, I cook one of the traditional Filipino food she has been cooking for several years already, and that is Sarciado.
The Sarciado of my mom is made of fried fish and then she made tomato, onion, ginger and garlic sauce which she mixed with the fried fish and then for added taste, she added as a toping, Itlog na Binati, lovely dish which I miss so much.
But I can never follow the taste and cooking of my mom, I always feel that something is missing with the dishes that I cook even if I learned it from her. Maybe it is the love and passion that she puts into her cooking during the times when we were so poor and struggling.
Mom, I miss you!
