A Quality Control (QC) is the system of checks that are used to generate excellence, or quality, in a program (a monitoring program, for example). QC asks if we are doing things right .

A quality control (QC) is "The overall system of technical activities whose purpose is to measure and control the quality of a product or service so that it meets the needs of users. The aim is to provide quality that is satisfactory, adequate, dependable, and economical" (QAMS 1993, 17).
