A Release is when a hazardous substance goes from a controlled condition (for example, inside a truck, barrel, storage tank, or landfill) to an uncontrolled condition in the air, water, or land.

The Reliability is the ability of a system, process, or parameter to do what is expected or specified under set conditions and designated time interval without failure.

A RELs is Recommended Exposure Limits (recommendations made by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)).

A Remote Sensing is a method of visualizing the radiative properties of the Earth's surface using instrumentation mounted in satellites or aircraft.

In the environment context, "Renovation" refers to the process of improving or modernizing existing structures, landscapes, or systems to enhance their sustainability, efficiency, and harmony with the natural environment. This can involve adopting green building practices, using sustainable materials, and implementing technologies that reduce environmental impact. Renovation in this context aims not only to update or restore but also to transform spaces and infrastructures in ways that promote environmental stewardship and reduce carbon footprints.

The Repeatability is the degree of agreement between independent test results produced by the same analyst, using the same test method and equipment on random aliquots of the same sample within a short time period.
